LA ISLA DE LOS VOLCANES  We raise to our dogs in the Island of Gran Canaria, although our line comes from the Island of Lanzarote, the most Eastern Island of the archipelago, with 795km2 and 41912 h. Of volcanic origin and barren climate.
 Its last violent eruption data of 1824, its ground reaches highest temperatures in Mountains of the Fire. It was conquered in 1402 by Juan de Bethencourt. Nowadays declared "World-wide Reserve of the Biosphere", its main operation is the one of the tourism, that visits our island whenever they can, so that once they know it, "bewitches", by his wonderful beaches and volcanic landscapes, not being able to be forgotten in the life. I am "rabbit breeder" (Lanzaroteño), enamored with my island, of his customs, their flora and fauna and of all the native one of here, mainly of the "Canary Prey" now Canary Dogo call, name that has designated the F.C.I to him by subjects that I am not going to enter details so that it is not worth the trouble to squander this, my space. I have had dogs all my life, Presas Canarios, Shepherds German, Cooker Spaniels, Bulldog, Amstff. and many mestizos, who are of that they learn themselves more. I also raised Huskies Siberian some years. I have known always the Canary Prey but a day, in an aid, I began to study them and you can already be imagined, I remained hooked, as it happens to them to most of the people who get to know them well. It captivated its aspect to me, of extraordinary power, severe glance, of temperament it signs and serious and deep bark. A dog that always is alerts although it is surrounded by children to whom it adores, and I say it by experience. I am very demanding with the selection of my dogs, avoiding lack that can harm the standard or the character of the dog, I look for animals that maintain and transmit the qualities that to my I like in the Canary Prey, forgetting a little to me sometimes the exhibitions of beauty.   I base my young on crossing of line very important in island of Lanzarote, the one of "Captain" with unit very selected of other criadores of different islands or peninsula that is accustomed to to be champions of beauty, since what I admire more of this one race it is the character that is one of the qualities that it has very well fixed the descendants of "Captain" among others, not stopping being for that reason less beautiful.
Nowadays I cannot be complained the dogs that help me to work in their improvement being left me very good results and always being in the first positions in the few canine appointments which I attend, also doing that knows much people become fond of to this one race that takes control of a puppy of my deposit and they never let call me to tell an anecdote me of its mascot and trying to convince to me of which I know very well: "That never has known so good and as intelligent a dog as the Canary Prey"... - it invited to that you know my dogs and you share with us the love to You made this race. |
